Madurai Panthers produced a composed all-round performance to defeat Dindigul Dragons in a rain-shortened match at Dindigul. Ram Kumar launched the innings with an explosive 45 from 15 balls as the Panthers posted 171 and set the Dragons a target of 172.
After the opening stand reached 55, N S Chaturved and Atheeq Ur Rahman rebuilt with a valuable 50-run partnership. Chaturved made 42 before Dindigul applied pressure through Viju Arul and Sandeep Warrier.
Dindigul began the chase positively through Shivam Singh and C K Vineeth, but Rohan Bhutra removed Vineeth and later dismissed the well-set Shivam for 40. Saravanan accounted for captain Baba Indrajith, while Atheeq produced a superb deep-midwicket catch to end Hunny Saini’s counterattack.
The Panthers maintained their composure through the closing stages, executing their plans at the death to seal a convincing victory and extend their winning run to four matches. Bhutra was named Player of the Match for his decisive contribution with the ball.
